Our 5th Anniversary

Disclaimer: There are a ton of pictures in this post. Good luck making it through all of them.

I can't believe we've been married for 5 years! The time has flown by so quickly.

We wanted to go on a little trip to celebrate, so we headed down to Brown County, IN to rent a cabin in the woods. Ty picked me up from work at noon on Thursday and we stayed until Sunday morning.

A couple months before the trip, we sat down and went through dozens of cabins online to make sure we chose the perfect one. After going through them all, we ended up choosing the very first one we looked at, and it was such a great choice!

I'm not sure why I didn't take any pictures of the upstairs, but there was a loft with a pool table, a bathroom, and a bedroom up there too.

We spent the majority of our time exploring the little town of Nashville. There were TONS of little shops to check out.

On Friday evening we went to dinner at a local Brewery/Pizza place before taking in a show at the local playhouse. I don't think I've ever seen my husband more excited than he was at this restaurant.

"This is literally the BEST red beer I've ever had in my life!"

"Oh my goodness...this is literally the best pizza I've ever had. Not just the best VEGGIE pizza...the best PIZZA I've ever had."

After asking me if we could go back for lunch the very next day, I concluded that this restaurant was a very positive experience for him. Perhaps even better than our wedding day, hehe!

We also checked out a local sandwich shop that my sister-in-law recommended. It was really good, too!

We went to several flea markets and antique shops on the outskirts of Nashville on Saturday. We ended up finding this awesome blue cabinet thingy to go in our house! (We also bought another piece of furniture...pictures to come in an upcoming post.)

Saturday night we met up with my brother and sister-in-law and our niece and nephews for dinner. It was great to get to see them, even if it was just for a little bit.

Sunday we got up, packed and cleaned up the cabin and stopped at an ice cream shop before heading home. It was so nice to get away for a little while. Now I definitely feel refreshed and ready to make it through the next 13 days of school before summer vacation! So here's to 5 years of marriage...I can't wait to see what the next 5 bring!

xoxo, wife
