Friday started off wonderfully. I was surprised to walk into the teacher's lounge and see 4 dozen Dunkin Donuts sitting there for the staff. My principal said it was an "end of the week pick-me-up" which is definitely needed at this time of year. Once I took a bite, I looked at my donut and thought: does your donut choice correlate with your career choice? Because that donut has "kindergarten" written all over it!
It was delish.
And helped me get through the rest of the day.
Saturday was uneventful. Ty was in Wisconsin for some kind of deer habitat consulting gig, so I was on my own. I accidentally slept in my contacts the night before and woke up at 5:30am with a scratched up and swollen eye. So I got up and went to WalMart at way-too-early-o'clock to get some Visine. Then I got some stuff done around the house, painted, and took a nap because getting up at 5:30 on Saturday is for the dogs.
Sunday was Ground Breaking Day for our new church building!
Each family got a little shovel and got to "break ground."
Then it was laundry, reading, and relaxing. Oh, and Ty had youth group. They had to run around town doing a scavenger hunt. I got a phone call while folding laundry and Ty told me to get out my wedding dress. He said that if they got a picture of their kids in wedding attire, they'd get a bajillion points and win the game.
Never in a million years did I ever think I'd let someone else wear my wedding dress.
But I suppose Olivia looks pretty darn cute.
And last but not least. When your husband goes to Wisconsin and brings back cheese, what else do you make for dinner?
Then when the cheese is incredibly gross because it's been aged for 2 years, you promptly give your grilled cheese to your husband, because for some reason he thinks it's really good.
And that's the weekend update.
I kind of feel like Seth Myers.
Or Cecily Strong.
Except not funny.
xoxo, wife.
Sounds like you had a really nice weekend except for the eye thing. Take care, Love Ya
