going to the chapel.

Wedding Number One of the year:

This year I had an amazing teaching partner. Her name is Megan and she was the other Kindergarten teacher at my school. It was her first year teaching and my second year. Since it was her first year, I got to spend a lot of time helping her out and giving advice. I truly think we both grew a lot as teachers throughout the year, and more importantly, we grew to be great friends. When you spend EVERY DAY for 190 days together (laughing, crying, yelling, complaining, confiding, etc), I think it's inevitable that you'll develop a close relationship.

Last weekend, Megan got married. Throughout the school year, I was able to follow her on her wedding planning journey, and answer some questions that she had about the whole process. It was fun to actually get to see all those plans come together for her big day.

There were a few tears for both of us. We've been through so much (good and bad) together throughout the school year, and I think we're both just so grateful that we had the other person to go through it all with. Megan and her new hubby are thinking about moving to Florida this summer so that he can enroll in grad school at Florida State. As happy as I would be for them, it would be a huge loss at work. So while I'm selfishly hoping they'll stay, I'm also praying that God will direct them to where He wants them to be during the beginning of their lives together.

So happy for these two! Congrats on your marriage!
