things that are making me happy lately.

Lately I've noticed how completely content I am with life.
Especially now that it's summer.
Of course, there are still things I have to worry about, like cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, etc.
You know, the usual.
But I've just been reveling in how blissful life is lately.
Here are some of the things that are making me extra happy as of late.

-- Super sweet texts from my hubby.

--Getting out of bed in the mornings around 8am and going directly to the couch, where I lay watching morning shows until around 9.

--Baby bunnies that Ty found in a hole in our yard while he was mowing. There were three at the time, but I've seen the mother nursing 4 in our backyard lately.

--The fact that I went to the library 8 days ago, and am almost done with my third book since then. Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE summer vacation??

--These two. It's interesting to get a little insight into their daily routine, now that I'm home during the day. This daily routine consists of sleeping. Perhaps playing for about 20 seconds...then sleeping some more.

--Spending time each day with God, reading His word and taking notes on some great devotions.

--My ADORABLE new word wall letters. For those of you who don't know what word walls are, let me briefly explain. Each letter of the alphabet is hung on the wall, and you stick words under those letters that the kids are learning in class, so they have a resource to look at if they need to know how to spell a certain word. I use my word mostly for sight words--those words that are extremely common, but that you can't phonetically sound out (ex: some, out.) Can't wait to hang these up!

I've really enjoyed taking some time these last couple weeks to just realize how happy I am. How good our life is. How blessed my little family is. And I'm extremely thankful.

xoxo, wife.

  1. How beautifully written. Makes a person stop and
think about all the things they should be
    thankful for.
