the power was out alllllll day

The morning before Thanksgiving, Ty came into the bedroom around 7:30am and woke me up. He told me that a huge tree across the street had fallen in some crazy winds we were having and that a power line had snapped. We were without power.

Now yes...we are technically millennials. But we can function without power. We might be super bored, but we can function. The problem was that it was pretty cold, we have well water (which means NO water when the power is out), and a baby who drinks bottles and needs water for those bottles.

So we hung around for a little while, but it was obvious that the power would not be back on any time soon. So Bryson and I headed over to my mom and dad's to hang out until the power came back on, and then Ty joined us a few hours later.

The first of three Thanksgiving outfits this year. He's so stinking cute!

The power finally came back on around 4:00pm and we were able to head back home. I'm so thankful that we have parents who live close enough that we can just run over when we need to...it was a huge help!
