more quarantine life.

My new favorite way to send birthday wishes to friends/family! We've perfected the process of getting a picture without mouth-paper cuts.

Such a happy little baby!

Bryson's first strawberry! This little gadget is neat. It's a little silicone holder with holes in it, so the baby can "chew" on fruits and get out the juices. Bryson can be a very aggravated eater though, and I eventually had to take the strawberry out, mash it up, and let him eat it that way, too.

My mom is working on painting our kitchen table and chairs (YAY!) so this is our current kitchen table situation haha!

We've slowly been packing since around January. But now that we know we'll be moving in May (eek!), we've been picking up the pace a little. Our realtor is coming this Friday to check out the house and get us ready to list it. So the past week has been a mad dash to deep clean, power wash and repaint some of the brick outside, and get things ready for her to come. Weekends and nap times are full of hard work (and dust bunnies.)

And AFTER power washing and a fresh coat of paint:

However, it's nice to get a little break once in awhile.

Bryson tried his first sippy cup. It's more like a transition between a bottle and a sippy cup. He likes it because it's easy for him to hold. He dislikes it because he has to suck much harder for the liquid to come out. I like it because it doesn't leak like the bottles do.

This kid is a wiggle/play machine, so snuggles are becoming more rare. When they actually happen, they must be documented.

My mom made some amazing cookies last week that were just like my grandma Wayne's used to taste. They were the perfect snack to go with a book!

It was actually nice out for about 2.5 days. I took advantage of some time outside reading while the baby was napping and actually got a little sun.

We also got to go on a family walk when Ty got home from work early one day! We'll be moving soon, and won't have a nice big neighborhood close by to walk through, so we have to take advantage!

Bryson found Daddy's ears last week!

I think that gets us pretty much caught up. I'm not sure how long we've been in quarantine at this point. 5ish weeks or so? A century? It's been a long time. I never know what day it is anymore until I randomly remember that it's bath night. That's how I measure time these days...

Until next time.

xoxo, wife (& mommy)
