7 months old

(this is his "tough guy" outfit)

Bryson is 7 months old! Time is flying!

In the last month he had his first cold at the same time he was teething for the first time. He handled both like a champ. His little tooth is so cute, and he loves to show it off when he laughs. His cold was mild, and he and I had one at the same time. So we got to spend about 4 days snuggling and coughing together.

On the downside, he no longer sleeps through the night. He has woken up at least once every single night since we've stopped swaddling him. He's waking up sometime between midnight and 2:00am for a bottle, and will then quickly go back to sleep for another 5-6 hours. As much as I don't enjoy getting up every single night, I know he's doing better at sleeping than a lot of babies his age. (And the extra snuggles aren't awful either!)

He had a couple rough weeks when he wasn't a huge fan of eating purees with a spoon anymore, but I think I figured out that he just wasn't hungry enough. So I've adjusted his eating schedule a bit, and the last week has been a BUNCH better. Daddy even fed him his baby food for the first time this past week! (it was a bit more messy than usual, but super cute to watch!)

Current likes: bouncing in his Jumperoo, pears, carrots, corn, puffs (his favorite!), standing (still with mommy and daddy's help), being thrown in the air, and spitting. Spitting is something he has become very talented at!

Current dislikes: green beans, being on his tummy, having his face wiped after a meal

He sleeps in his crib full time now, and the transition out of our bedroom was really smooth. He can finally put his own pacifier in his mouth, and is almost able to sit up completely on his own. He still loves to study new things and people, and is very mild-mannered. He takes a little while to warm up when other people are around, but eventually has lots of smiles and giggles to offer. He's developing the sweetest little personality, and has brought so much joy into this quarantine life we've been living!

Until next time,

xoxo, wife (& mommy)
